Age range of buyers
Nearly 2 out of every 3 buyers are people in the 40-60 age range.
Buyers between the ages of 30 and 40 account for 20.9% and those over 60 account for 11%.
Younger buyers, up to the age of 30, account for 6.6% of the total.
Nationality of homebuyers in Fuerteventura
In 2022, 52% of real estate transactions in the Canary Islands were carried out by foreign buyers, according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE).
In Fuerteventura, this percentage rises to 70.8%. Only 29.2% of buyers are Spanish.
The high percentage of Italian buyers (35.6%) stands out, followed by German, English and French buyers.

Houses, chalets and villas are the types that account for 27% of purchases.
Other typologies with less weight in total purchases are duplexes, townhouses and bungalows.
Property purchase prices in Fuerteventura
13% of home purchases in Fuerteventura were priced between 100,000 and 150,000 euros.
The ranges are very disparate, depending on the typology, characteristics and location of the properties in the municipalities of Fuerteventura.
A 21% corresponds to purchase prices below 100,000 euros and 5% are homes priced above 500,000 euros.
Buyers’ need for financing
Of the homebuyers in Fuerteventura, only 29% needed financing for the purchase of the property.
