Fuerteventura Airport recorded more than 6 million passengers<\/strong> in 2023, an increase of 6.7% over 2022.<\/p>\n

The flow of foreign visitors is almost double that of domestic visitors; moreover, the number of foreign visitors grew by 10.4%<\/strong> with respect to the previous year.<\/p>\n

Every month, half a million people arrive in Fuerteventura; in December 2023, passenger traffic increased by 3.5%.<\/p>\n

More flights for high passenger demand to Fuerteventura<\/h2>\n

As the demand of passengers wanting to come to Fuerteventura continues to grow, airlines and tour operators continue to increase connections to El Matorral airport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the 2023 edition of the International Tourism Fair in Madrid (Fitur), the British airline Jet2 announced a 20% increase in flights to Fuerteventura<\/strong> in summer.<\/p>\n

Fuerteventura at Fitur<\/h2>\n

The Tourist Board, the Association of Tourist Municipalities of the Canary Islands (AMTC), the Cabildo of Fuerteventura and municipalities of Fuerteventura, attended the Tourism fair, to promote the arrival of visitors to the island and exceed the figure of 2023, the year in which more than two million people were received.<\/p>\n

The increase over 2022 was 125,468 passengers over 2022.<\/p>\n

The objective is to spread the different and unique image of Fuerteventura, with a dynamic and modern approach. To this end, the Tourist Board is incorporating a team of influencers to the promotion of the Majorero destination, who will develop a campaign focused on attracting potential tourist profiles that are not usually reached with conventional promotion.<\/p>\n
